Wood, reclaimed wood and veneer are all susceptible to both climate and the elements. Follow these basic care tips to ensure the longevity of your furniture:
CLEANING: When using cleaners, avoid wax-based furniture polish cleaners; some of the best-known brand name polishes on the market contain wax and silicone that will build up on the table surface, creating a "cloudy" appearance. Please read the contents and instructions carefully before applying a product to a wooden or veneered surface. For everyday cleaning, simply dust your pieces with a soft, lint-free cloth or feather duster. When heavier-duty cleaning is needed, wipe the surface with a damp (not wet) cloth or sponge, and follow immediately with a dry, clean, lint-free cloth.
DISCOLORATION: Please note that water will stain wood or veneered surfaces when left for a period of time, leaving a mark that can be much harder to fix. It is important to wipe in the direction of the wood grain to avoid unsightly streaks on the wood surface. Intense heat can lead to changes on the wood surface. Always use coasters, felt pads, trivets, or placemats to prevent heat and water from having direct contact with wood surfaces; such contact can cause discoloration. Direct sunlight may slightly darken or lighten wood furniture; move or rotate decorative objects on a regular basis to help to avoid odd light and dark patches. Note that based on the frequency of use and storage, dining table leaves may change tone at a different rate than the table itself.
GENERAL CARE: Avoid placing your furniture in highly humid or dry areas, such as directly next to air vents. Avoid contact with certain materials such as rubber, which might react with the finish of your product: oil finishes may be renewed by rubbing a light application of a penetrating oil with a very fine steel wool and wiping with a clean soft cloth to remove any excess oil.

I really wanted to love this table because it’s beautiful and functional, but like all the others reviews the quality is horrible. Within two weeks of owning the table there were a variety of scratches and dents from moving plates across the table and setting them down, despite us being extra careful. Luckily, I called on the last day of the two weeks and was able to return it with a 10% restocking fee and another $100 for them to pick it up, costing about $300. Definitely left a bad taste knowing that multiple customers have had similar concerns and this product is still being sold as is. The sales person also spoke highly of the table saying that nobody had ever returning it, which seems pretty hard to believe after owning it and reading the reviews.

The store and sales department is great. I loved the MCM shape and extension. What sucks is the quality of the table finish, the varnish(?) is poor, initially it looked amazing but just a cup sliding on the top causes scratch marks....ugh. I've had the table only 6 months....so sad.

Wish I would have believed the reviews. The first table I received had the finish starting to bubble/flake off in spots and had one spot that appeared to not have finish. I called and was quickly offered a replacement. The next table delivered appears to have had a scuff or scratch that someone attempted to fix with a stain pen and did a horrible job. I called the store very frustrated and expressed my anger. I kept the table because I (and more so my wife) didn’t want to deal with it any more. Today, maybe a month and a half later, I notice a chip through the finish and veneer. I have insisted that placemats are used all the time. The kids are not allowed to use it for anything (coloring, homework), it is gently cleaned per the instructions after every meal, and I even have felt feet on the napkin holder. I would not recommended this table unless it is to be used one or two times a year. Very fragile/low quality, even for a veneered product. Looks really nice, but not able to be used without an abundance of caution. Assuming I will have to refinish/resurface within a year.
I loved this table design. The narrow long table was perfect for our space and the MCM sleek look was so fitting, but the table came scratched upon delivery. They were good about replacing the scratched table which I was super relieved about because we managed to put another large scratch in the surface w/o even knowing how within the first couple of days. Just one day after getting the new table my children were doing a cardboard puzzle on the table and that left small scratches all over the table. That was when I knew I could not keep the table. We were out the delivery fee and a restocking fee so it cost a couple of hundred dollars to return the table. Pretty disappointed as it really was the perfect design for our space.
Love the look of this table but the wood overlay chips and scratches easily. Even with a table cloth, warm serving dishes discolor the finish. Purchased the table a year ago and disappointed.
