The sofa is very comfortable and guests reported that it is a comfortable bed, with padding under the sheets. My guests slept on the converted sofa bed for 5 nights and had restful sleeps.

I am honestly quite disappointed with the Ella sofa and, indeed, the whole experience. It took ages to be delivered (about 2 months) and it is neither comfortable nor solidly built. For $1600, I expected better quality. I would like to just return it and exchange it for a different sofa.

Purchased the grey Ella Convertible Sofa with Ottoman for my office/spare bedroom and it has been THE most perfect furniture purchase I've made in a long time. The color is more of a speckled salt and pepper color - very neutral. It is stylish, firm, very comfortable, solid and stays put even with bare floors. I had to use this as a bed for 4 months while waiting for the winter thaw to transport the rest of my furniture from out of state. As a bed was SO comfy. Beyond my expectations. I like a very firm bed and never had any back problems sleeping on it every night. Nice to lounge around in as a sofa too. The delivery men were very thorough and polite, put the sofa together for me in no time and removed all the packaging. A true lifesaver for me.
